What are the driver requirements?

Please see Drift or AX Rulebook for more information located under the Drift or Autocross Tab. Yes, we welcome drifters of all experience levels.

What do I have to wear?

Closed toe shoes, sleeved shirt (no tank tops), and long pants are required. Please try not to wear your girlfriend’s bikini top.

What are the other safety requirements for drivers?

Please reference Drift or AX Rulebook for specifics.

Do I need a Helmet?

Yes. Motorcycle helmets are not permitted. How much should you spend on a helmet? How much is your head worth?

What will the track look like?

That is dependent upon the location, our layouts change per event to keep things fresh! We have ADHD and can’t do the same thing for too long.

What about a driver’s meeting/track walk?

These are mandatory before each event, please see the track schedule for each event which outlines the time for tech and registration as well as when the mandatory meeting is. Drivers MUST attend this meeting. No exceptions.

What group will I be in?

Everyone starts in the “C” group, GIG Motorsports personnel are on site to assess your driving ability and can move your class accordingly. There are stipulations and criteria to be met for all groups, but once you meet them your group will adjust accordingly.

Can I bring my trailer?

Yes, most every location we drift or race at has the parking area for trailers. The closer you arrive to the roll-in time, the better spot you will get.

Is there Electricity?

Depending upon the site electricity may be available. Please check track specific FAQ for the event details.

Drift events: Is there a tire machine on site?

Yes, there will be a tire machine on site, it will be operated by a tech and not individual drivers. Please remove your wheel/tire from the car and bring it over to the tech for a tire change.
