Diverse motorsports background and experience with drifting and autocross required. Semi-pro racing/drifting experience and prior multi-track day instruction recommended but not required. Must have a well-developed understanding of the track, path of travel, the line and motorsports terminology.
Knowledge of adult learning principles and application of this knowledge is a must. Instructors will be required to ride along with drivers of any class and instruct them on how to better their skills. Instructors will assess driver’s skills and potential areas of improvement and coach drivers based on vehicle dynamics and adult learning principles.
May be responsible for other track duties including but not limited to light maintenance, flagging, traffic control, and assisting with setup/breakdown of the track. Instructors are required to have and maintain their own safety equipment to wear while in driver’s cars. Travel to and from site location is not reimbursed, personal vehicle required. All GIG Motorsports employees are subject to randomized drug testing.
Responsible for vehicle entry into the course, counting laps, and exiting vehicles from the course when their turn has been completed.
Flags are raised when incidents occur on track to communicate to other track personnel in the event of an issue or other concern. Moderate understanding of path of travel, the “line” and other motorsports terminology in order to not interrupt the flow of traffic, maintain safety on the course, and have a smooth entry/exit of vehicles on the course.
May be responsible for pit area “wake zone” traffic as well as other light setup duties to ensure the event runs as planned. Travel to and from site location is not reimbursed, personal vehicle required. All GIG Motorsports employees are subject to randomized drug testing.
